Measure thrice – cut once. Before getting into production, every item is designed with great thorough in the construction department, while the laboratory tests fabric shrinkage, color stability and peeling properties of the materials involved.

High quality of fabrics is the basis for good underwear. Seams and rubber bands must be soft and elastic, while the fabrics must have good breathability and be hygienic. To make our perfect underwear we buy first-class materials: yarns, laces and accessories.

Quality of our yarns and threads is secured by world-famous manufacturers like Lenzing and Trevira. For models demanding figure moulding we use fabrics with elastane. In our production we use only elastane produced by Dupont, known under a brand name Lycra.

We manufacture 90% of fabrics used in Comazo products using modern knitting machines. 70% of produced fabrics is 1x1 fine rib – the most hygienic type of fabric, known for its best breathability. It forms the basis of our assortment base.

Absence of side seams is a common requirement to underwear in Europe. Our equipment allows to produce circular fabrics for making underwear without side seams in all sizes. Please follow the link to models without side seams.

Untreated cotton fabric (commoly referred to as ‘crash’) is beige in its color. It needs to be bleached or dyed it to receive a different color. Active dyeing technology allows to achieve bright-colored fabrics which do not fade or lose color under sunlight. Use of dyeing agents produced by Ciba, DyStar и Dr. Petry guarantees absolute safety for human health.

The main principles of finishing of fabrics are clean water, vapour and minimal mechanical impact. Comazo has own high-tech water treatment unit and boiler plant.

Every batch of fabrics receives a quality passport. Washing tests are made in the laboratory for every batch to secure that shrinkage does not exceed 5% in length and width. Thus we guarantee to the consumers that our products do not change their properties after washing. Read more about Comazo standards of quality in the corresponding section.

In Russian language the word ‘semiproduct’ is most often referred to processed meat products which one can buy in a market nearby, but this is also the name for every unfinished item or component in the production process. At Comazo we call all components of the future underwear item ‘semiproducts’ – from fabric patterns to lace and threads used in production of an item.

The sewing department is the most crowded place at Comazo. Here the semiproducts or components are formed into a product item. Our equipment park consists of more than 130 modern sewing machines with more than 30 types of seam operations.

Knitted fabric is highly elastic, and the main task for the sewing is to keep this feature in the product. Seams must be as firm and elastic as fabrics. For example, the rubber seam in knitwear must have 150% of elasticity.

When products are ready they are delivered to the packaging unit. Before being packed every item is checked for fabric integrity, correctness of size, seam elasticity and neatness of sewing.

Leaving the product warehouse, Comazo’s basewear and thermal underwear is delivered all over Russia: to our dealers and further to retail shop, as well as to retail and wholesale customers of our online shop.
